Short Bio

I have a Master’s Degree in Philosophy and a Ph.D. in Computer Science. My research concerns primarily Knowledge Representation and Conceptual Modeling, focusing on Knowledge Discovery techniques. Other key research interests include Logic and Conceptual Modeling for Responsible AI.

I am currently an Assistant Professor (RTDa) and a member of the KRDB group, at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, where I have been a lecturer for the Information Systems Design and Research Methodology courses.

I am also having a strong collaboration with the Semantics, Cybersecurity, and Services Group at the University of Twente, the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC), and, occasionally, I am working with the Knowdive Group at the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science of the University of Trento, where I got my Ph.D. and (from 2015 to 2020) I was a teaching assistant for the Computational Logics and Knowledge-Data Integration courses.
